New Members

New to The River Guard? Start here. This page covers the basics for joining a supporters group on matchday: where to go, what to wear, what to expect in the section, and how to take part. You do not need to know every chant before you show up, but when you step into the section, we ask you to stand with the group, raise your voice, and help drive the atmosphere for the full ninety.

  • We welcome everyone into our community under 1 rule; treat everyone with the same respect and humanity as you expect to be treated. Simply purchase a membership, we’ll send you a membership kit and you’re in!

  • You exude our core values:

    1. Unwavering Loyalty: We are devoted to the club, the shield and each other. Regardless of match day outcomes, we remain united in our support

    2. Community: We believe in connection over division. We welcome all backgrounds, united by a shared love of the game and place we call home.

    3. Unshakable Grit: We work hard, we show up and we never stop giving 110%. Our spirit reflects the Idaho soil- tough, tested and rooted deep.

  • We’d love it if all of our members were in the Supporters section, but we actually have members all over the stadium. If you do have a spot in the Supporters Stand, they are currently numbered spots. We’d prefer if it was General Admission and will likely be next year.

  • The matchday always starts with a March to the Match 1 hour prior to kickoff. That march begins outside of Brown Beard Brewing on Chinden, right to the stadium. It takes about 15 min, so if you can’t make the march, we will all be coming in about 45 min prior to kickoff.

  • Be you, be comfortable and most of all, show your pride for ACB! We have River Guard Merch available in the store as well. Be sure to bring your River Guard scarf!

    If you choose to wear a football kit, just make sure it’s AC Boise and not a team that doesn’t play in our park. Especially not the opposing team.

  • Of course not, everyone is welcome in our stands, provided they’re supporting our boys in Black and Green and not the away team. Sing, Chant, yell, have fun! That’s all we ask
