The River Guard exists to support Athletic Club Boise with unwavering loyalty, unshakable grit, and a deep sense of community.
Rooted in western, Intermountain values, we stand together to uplift our players, energize our city, and carry the pride of Idaho into every matchday.
We are not here for spotlight or profit; we’re here for the game, for our club, and for each other.
Whether at home or away, win or lose, we march. We chant. We guard.

Our Story
In March of 2025, Rodger Jachim commented on a Facebook post on March 29, 2025 with several suggestions for names for the supporters section, with the 3rd being "The River Guard". He utilized ChatGPT to hone the list. Over the following weeks, others commented they liked The River Guard as well.
At the brand reveal on June 27th, 2025, there was nothing offered for the supporters, this seemed odd to Rodger, as well as others such as Ryan Pritchett, Manuel Perez, Christopher Leonard, and Michael Storm. These five formed an initial leadership team for what was temporarily dubbed the River Guard. After launching Facebook pages/groups, subreddits, Instagram and X accounts, on 24 July the official name was revealed at an event in Garden City, ID at Brown Beard Brewing - Barrel Location. A YouTube video documenting the meeting was uploaded days later.

The name River Guard was chosen in a ranked choice vote. The window for name nominations was open from July 12th to the 18th, and the window to vote was from the 19th to the 23rd. In the end 337 votes were tallied and River Guard won by 5.
They maintain their independence from the club however, ensuring there will be no conflict of interest between the supporters and the front office.
The River Guard welcomes any who follow or support AC Boise into their ranks, with donations and memberships welcome.
